Avoid the stinger! This large model of a functioning honey bee stinger shows the three main parts of a honey bee stinger–the stationary stylet and the two lancets that deliver venom through the venom channel. The stationary stylet can be removed to show the moving lancets. Lift off the abdomen to reveal the muscle structure of the sting and the venom sack!
The stinger and muscles are approximately 13 inches long. Adding in the abdomen increased the length to 16 inches with a 9 inch width.
The functional parts of this model contain moving parts and caution should be used near the gears. This product is powered by a USB cable and includes an on/off switch. It works best with a battery pack which is not included.
